How to Use the Hilltop Algorithm

The Hilltop Algorithm is a way that Google figures out the “authority” of a page, based on the amount, relevance, and expert status of it’s incoming links, and whether they were consistently made over time.

An expert page is determined by the amount of outgoing links to authority pages, and so you can actually get a better Google rating by making outgoing links, and appearing to be an expert on a subject.

While I have only just figured out how to use the hilltop algorithm, my Factoidz article in the link is on the first page of Google already for a search on how do you use the hilltop algorithm, so I must be doing alright.
